One Service - all of us in Western Washington worship together

Date
Sunday, April 25, 2021 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

This week all Episcopalians in Western Washington will worship together at 11:00am using this link.

A webinar with Bishop Greg Rickel will follow at 12:30 on Zoom using the link provided in the weekly Shepherd's Crook email. You can subscribe to that email here.

We are calling this One Service for Turtle Island. In the cosmology of indigenous North and South American peoples, Turtle Island is the geographic region covering the Americas. Worship will be led by Circles of Color, a grassroots network of Episcopalians of color. This worship service will celebrate the languages, cultures, and experiences of the First Peoples of Turtle Island, with a specific focus on local communities. It is an opportunity for diocese-wide worship, learning, connection, and conversation.

The Town Hall webinar afterward with Bishop Rickel and members of Circles of Color will help us process the worship experience and share dialogue on issues of race and culture in our diocese, with special attention to the experiences of local Indo-Hispanic/Indigenous peoples.
